You can tell this song is pure late 1980s. It was actually recorded in 1988, but wasn't released in Australia until 1990. No wonder the early 1990s still had that "80s sound" to it. I love the Gina Riley 'Fast Forward' parody of this. Tina is great though and she looks really fit here, despite the big hair and ghost-pasty makeup.

Indeed, today's my first listen. ...shades of the lead vocalist from the jets on the hook, but very good work and a great result. Passing by wikipedia, its read she tried to distance herself from this early effort. Seems it was very vintage and was spot-on 1987 (ala Jodie Watley, Madonna-ish).
