Tim O'Brien wanted to make an album with both sides of the Atlantic represented here. The settlers brought the music with them from Ireland (and other countries) and it evolved here in the mountains of Appalachia. "The Crossing" is on the album of the same name, "The Crossing" which was released in 1999. Tim was exploring the roots of his music and has excellent guests backing him up. Enjoy!!!

yes. I just have the audio. There are a lot of fantastic live videos if you type in The Highland Sessions.(The videos are wonderful!). Keep looking. There are numerous episodes and numerous artists.
