@Yard You have the Christian religion all wrong. It is a choice to believe that Jesus rose from the dead, and that we can have a personal relationship with him. Man, everyone is all "religion this, religion that" yes, I'm a Christian. I will stand up for my faith, and give you valid reasons as to why you are incorrect. Do you know why we are different than everybody else? We worship a god who is not dead, he is surely alive, you want to know how? Look around you. Anything great, or good worth having, even your own poor sad life, you have God to thank for that, it can all be taken away from you in an instant. I was the exact same way you were, wanted nothing to do with it, but God changed my life, he has helped me out in getting over many addictions, and he is alive and living and breathing in us, and around us. What it means to be a Christian is to have a personal relationship with Christ. Man I'm sorry if I offend you, but it's the truth, you could not be doing anything worse, I suggest that you find the nearest church in your area, and go there with an open mindset an be willing to learn. You just need to actually know what it's all about.

Apparently, you know nothing of the Christian faith. We don't worship a 'dead' Jew, our God is the God of the LIVING. All who follow his laws and teachings, and believe in his son, Jesus Christ, go to heaven, to live FOR EVER. Jesus, in fact was a person, not an 'it' so at least have some respect and say 'he'. Everyone is missing the point of the song; its speaking about how no matter whether we choose one path or the other, we're all at the core human and we're all looking for love and meaning, truth, acceptance-that's why there's "not much space between us". I'm amazed that what makes this song so incredible is missed by most as they get caught up in religious debates which song actually has NOTHING to do with. If anything its inclusionary and people are using it to be exclusionary
