Ah, it's a happy time inside my mindWhen a melody does find a rhymeSays to me I'm comin' home to stayOh, Lord, home to stayI'm comin' home to stayHome to stay Ah, lord, it's just the same old storySomething about love for gloryA nickel and a dime a dozenFameAh, it's such a shameAh, the way they use your nameAh, you know it's such a shameWhen it's only mine to sing a songHoping that you'd cross along my wayBefore I have to move alongAh, now move alongAh, but I'll be back againOoh back again Ah, it's a happy time inside my mindWhen a melody does find a rhymeSays to me I'm comin' home to stayOh, Lord, home to stayI'm comin' home to stayHome to stay Sleep late now mamaLet the mornin' sun warm your bedWhile I'm awayWhile I'm away

Blue Afternoon is the first album I heard by Buckley. It's turned out to be the one I love most by him; though my three biggest favorite Buckley songs are not from it - Buzzin' Fly, Sweet Surrender and Once I Was.

it's about Jeff going to a Tim Buckley Tribute that is getting put on in a church in 1991, there is a real recording of the songs Jeff performed, I liked it the film, Penn who plays Jeff has a very very good voice, and there is a part in the film in a record store where he starts singing and he captures Jeff very well

There's a movie called "Greetings from Tim Buckley". I haven't seen it and I'm not sure exactly what it's about. I think it might be more centered around Jeff than Tim. But anyway...check it out...you know...if you want to.

@BlackSabbathory I think one reason people distance themselves from their children or parents is that they would rather disappoint them on that level (I'm too busy to make time for you) than on the real level (I can't give up drugs for you and I'm also afraid being around me will hurt you somehow.) And so the years go by.....but sadly the parents and children probably feel mostly the rejection and don't realize the moat is there for their protection as well as to keep the addiction unchallenged

It made me burst into tears when I listened to Dream Letter/Happy Time from his live in London concert. He had a heart,he regretted not being with his little boy Jeff, but something kept him from reaching out to him. I hope they are together in heaven making such beautiful music that angels weep.
