I grew up in Europe and do not recall Tim being known there when I was a teenager in the 70's. I only discovered him in 1987, when hearing Sweet Surrender blew me away. If I key into that moment I can still feel how I felt hearing his voice. I bought the album the same week, recorded it on cassette and went on a bit of a long distance trip with friends. They did not like him... I wish his music would cleanse my soul or that I had that feeling! I'd be a saint! ;)

I bought this album in the sixties. Now his albums are on my ipod. I'm glad I'm an old fart now. I got to live through those days and was exposed to good rock from Buddy Holly on. It's sad in how Tim Buckley died. But his music lives on as a means to cleanse the soul.
