Hey, I can tell the sax player is very good (I see he lost his mic, at 2:32, that happens), but the record has a sweet trumpet. Why sax and no trumpet?

I have to give credit where credit is due, they do sound pretty good for over 40 years later. One of the better known songs of the early 70's, Tighter and Tighter was a mainstay on AM and FM radio in the early and mid 70's and beyond. It continues on today on the 70's channel on XM/Sirius Radio.

Tommy James originally considered having Alive N' Kickin' record "Crystal Blue Persuasion," but he liked it so much he decided to record it himself, so he then wrote "Tighter, Tighter" for them
