You are correct. The first line says that he has "done his time". Later he says, "I'm really still in prison but her love she hold the key." But, it was co-oped for the soldiers quickly, which was great because those poor guys got no love. :(

Wow! You certainly have an eye for human emotion. The way you've managed to edit the Sims to fit the lyrics and historical context is simply astonishing! Every little detail is very much appreciated!

On this day in 1973 {April 21st} Dawn performed "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" on late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'... And on that very day it peaked at #1 {for 4 weeks} on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart... To put a cherry on top of it, it also reached #1 {also for 4 weeks} on that day in the United Kingdom... In Canada, Johnny Carver's covered version peaked at #1 {for 1 week} on June 16th on the RPM Country Tracks chart... R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012}...

I've been watching your videos from time to time over the years but I don't think I've ever responded before. I'm also a subscriber of your. I just wanted to say, I love your videos! I can tell that you put a lot of care and work into your creations. I love the feel that they have and the feel that I get when I look at them. I love nostalgia and your videos are filled with nostalgia of a time that has passed. I miss the good old days and good simple music like this. Bravo to your sir! Bravo!

You make brilliant videos, fantastic. Though the song is about the boys coming back from their tour of duty in Vietnam, the yellow ribbon was a message of hope for a safe return. None the less I loved the theme here, very inspired. Thumbs up.
