Were they really underrated? I just get the impression that they were a big fish in a small pond at first, then when they moved onto bigger things, they were just another in a long line of mediocre bands from the 90's.

These guys were an oddly unique band. Very underrated, and wrote really good songs - and I'm not even really a fan of this genre of music! Surprising that they never really took off in the States or anything - probably because they were from Canada. I bet if they were from California or Washington State or something they would have had a bigger impact.
