There's nothing quite like the original line up. I feel that "Argus" is one of the best albums in rock & roll history.

This song has better guitar-play than that of Hendrix.

No other guitar band that I ever heard, ever produced such original, spine tingling work as Wishbone Ash Marks' 1 and 2. God, I do miss those days.

MTWA do it live pretty faithfully to the Argos Version. I've got a live recording of them at Cambridge Rock festival a couple of years ago and it is stunning.

Andy Powell's guitar playing is so sick! Soaring melodies and feeling... just beautiful! That rig sounds very modern here. Musicman, with quite a bunch of gain, boarding on feedback and pinch harmonics.. I thought it playing nowadays replicates this phase of his playing. I thought it was something new until I saw this. Touched harmonics, pinched harmonics, whammy bar usage..... ripping it up! legend player. So underrated and unsung. Doesn't matter though, he's the real deal to me.

Magic evening at the old Town and Country. Ten Years After, Wishbone Ash and The Hamsters all on the same bill. A gig to remember.

its a shame they never play the solo like on the recording. They need to do the dual solo exactly how it was played back on the recording.
