i live in the netherlands and here we learn sarcasm is meant to hurt or attack someone in a light way. Irony is just making a comment like the Richayye or Groguet

and if you stuck with english 10 until the next class you would know that the grammar involved with sarcasm and irony can completely separate the two so that they cannot be used in the same context.
