This song sounded too generic to me as others have said. I mean it is good, and I can relate to it, but the lyrics aren't things I haven't heard before. The vocals are good though; I think Matt's doing great. So 3/5 for me also. They could do better. Hopefully they do~

I find it funny that most people complain about Matt when he is actually doing a good job replacing Adam.The real problem with the new songs are that they are just waay too generic. We have the standard structure, the standard instrumentation and the standard lyrics with words like bleeding, suffering blah blah.  While both of the songs are pretty catchy(especially Painkiller), nothing else about them are exciting.I mean listen to the solo on this song(you can barely hear it) - Is that really the best we can expect from TDG nowadays? The best part of the song is probably the bridge because of the dark atmosphere but it doesn't really evolve into anything bigger after that.

Also Angels and Airwaves New Album is due out by Halloween. They're teasing something on their website. They've shot a new music video for an upcoming single, but nothing released yet.

TDG uses to be my favorite band all through out high school & when Adam left I was crushed, however this song is making me get use to Matt vocals... AND BTW PLEASE REVIEW SET IT OFFNEW TRACKS THAT CAME OUT RECENTLY THEY ARE CALLED "WHY WORRY" & "N.M.E"

I agree with you completely but this is my favorite 3DG song ever. I feel like they're really stepping it up to remain relevant. It's not original in any way really but the lyrics are really relatable for me and interesting if not original. Id say 4/5. And their new album is aiming for a March 31st release. Of course they originally said I Am Machine would come out two Tuesdays ago so don't bet on that.
