Good try and fairly spiritual, but technically speaking, I mean music-wise, the performance was amateurish. Even though the choir was made up of hundreds of people, the sound and music was of poor quality.

I found this entry a little over a year ago and often come back to it when I am in need of encouragement. For those of us who grew up in churches where when music was especially good, the muscian(s) were given Holy silence. Even a hardy baptist amen was frowned upon. Well let me give a hardy AMEN!

Nice choir & orchestra...but they are missing something. And that church is so "dead" one could easily fall asleep. How could someone just sit there, service after service, and not even stand up or lift a hand? Even in the secular world concert-goers demonstrate what the feel from within. Like others previously mentioned here, I'd rather stick with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir as well.

Nice arrangement, but I prefer Brooklyn Tabernacle's.

I am of Paul...I am baptist...I speak in tongues...common now, are you not carnal, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. DO ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

This is the standard of how this piece should be offered to God.... notice I did NOT say performed, because we take our songs and offer them with love and humility to God...... this is SO beautifully done....thank you so much for posting!

We sang this and our congregation was just stunned by it! Took a few seconds after we finished and then they were on their feet cheering and applauding and praising God!!!

This song is based on Psalm 3.

That's correct. I am a Baptist and we are definitely not the liveliest groups during worship. Most in our church choir do raise their hands but not much further. lol

They're Baptist ;0) No swaying, no hand raising, and no shout'n out HALLELUJAH!!... lol.
