I have this fantasy in my head in which this is the procession theme for the wedding between Hodr Odinson (half-brother of Thor and twin brother of Baldr) and Macaria, daughter of Hades (who, BTW, is neither infertile nor evil in the original myths. In fact, he was known as the god of fertility by some cults and looking at the myths, he was actually more moral and just than most of the Olympians. Definitely more moral than Zeus. Not that he was perfect or that he was a pushover. Also, he wasn't supposed to be the god of death; that's Thanatos) and Persephone (who, BTW, was not tricked into eating the pomegranate seeds in some versions of the myth, but actually ate them at the last minute, knowing that she would be bound to the underworld. She did this because she actually knew that he, despite his abduction of her, actually wasn't the Greek version of Satan and that the underworld wasn't the Greek version of Hell like so many people think, so she actually fell in love with both. Plus, her mother, Demeter, was kind of overbearing to her, so she probably saw both Hades and his realm as kind of an escape hatch. Also, her father, Zeus, actually gave Hades permission to abduct and marry her. Anyway, to the ancient Greeks, she was seen as embracing her role both as Hades's wife and queen of the underworld, and she was actually respected and feared by them no less than Hades).Anyway, please let me know what you think. I'm actually thinking about writing and publishing a fanfic about this.
