Lyrics & Information

The opening track from their great 'Shades of a Blue Orphanage' album. Experimental sounding song but what a song at that. It has everything you could want, fast riffs, slow thoughtful guitar passages, and Phil's bass and lyrics shine through. In fact I love Phil's lyrics so much and believe them to be the best in this one. What a song subject too! I love Downeys drumming, and he gets a crazy solo at the end! What a band!

Lyrics :-

[Drum Intro]

(Out of sight!)

[Electric guitar/bass intro]

The people rose and set off for the sun

At night they read their star signs

A people proud, for they know their kingdom come!

Their skin was tanned by moonshine

[Chorus]

Got to keep a movin'

Got to keep a movin on

Got to keep a movin'

Got to keep a movin on

Got to keep a movin'

Got to keep a movin on

I know now why they gone and it's all past

There come a european

His love was good but his lust, it lingered last

And stuck like a devil demon

[Repeat Chorus]

[Superb electric guitar solo]

On lonely nights, you can hear the distant call!

And good hearts hear the rhythm

And now I know, pride before a fall

On the road to freedom

[Repeat Chorus]

[Menacing guitar fills]

So long baby!

Goodbye!

[Fantastic drum solo]
