Lyrics & Information

Taken from their 1971 album 'Thin Lizzy'. What a song! Heavily influenced by the Jimi Hendrix experience of that time. Song subject describes an alien who would question our belief in God. An excellent showcase of Eric Bell's guitar talent. Someone I look up to and consider one of the greatest guitarist of the early 70s generation. Enjoy!

Lyrics :-

I know someone

Doesn't believe in God

Someone I know

He doesn't even know God

He came for a planet

Three thousand miles away

Just a short trip

A kind of brief holiday

Can you give someone

Somewhere to stay?

I gotta want you, he's gotta gun

I gotta warn you, he's gotta gun

I know someone

Came on a short trip

Travelling lightly

Travelling by spaceship

He came from a planet

Three thousand miles away

Can you give someone

Somewhere to stay?

I gotta warn you, he's gotta gun

Oh look out woman

A ray-gun!
