Brian Robertson's work was absolutely phenomenal, in my opinion, when they fired him from the incident with the bar fight-when he cut his hand! The band never recovered! The friction from Phil and Brian created their musical prowess. Although they had other Guitat Greats, it was the magic that Brian and Scott had that drove that band!!! Brian should have been brought back! Period

Young(er) aspiring musicians never had the good fortune to see Phil Lynott live.....however, unbeknownst to many, Thin Lizzy had a huge "word" in all things HARD ROCK! I abhor the lumping of all early hard rockers (sabbath, Purple, Thin Lizzy etc under the heavy metal banner! The styles are wildly different. ANYWAY; I DO think it's great that many of the young turks who jam give the "old" masters more than just a cursory listen! Rock-on!

He tended to use it more in his early MSG days. 'One Night at Budokan' would be a good reference point.
