I think the record label does that, not the band. If a song from No! through Nanobots was pulled, then since those are owned by Idlewild, TMBG's own label, then maybe the band did it. I dunno.

They probably get money from being Youtube Partners. And I have this on my iPod...bought it when it first came out. So why am I listening to this on Youtube? No idea. Because it's there. I paid for it and I'm listening to the free version. I'm sure there's other weirdos like myself out there.

No, of course not. They're musicians, they operate under their own label, they sell better than you'd expect, and they're not in it for the money. TMBG just uploaded it because they're the best. And that's that.

It only makes sense for a band to upload their own music on their own channel. It also makes sense to run into trouble on youtube if you upload music you didn't make.
