I sort of collect different versions of the same song, and this is one of the songs I have many versions of. Katrina's interpretation is a particularly good one; the minimal arrangement with just voice and acoustic guitar shows off Katrina's strong voice, while the slowed-down tempo gives you time to feel the emotion behind every word.

This video proves two things. 1. Katrina is a proper singer- I had no idea! (as much as I like Walking on Sunshine!) 2. This is a great song, open to many different interpretations.

Nice version, and I respect others comments here - but in my opinion the original artist (Kirsty in this case) understands the song, and its my opinion that they usually sing in best. Kirsty was original - RIP my love

I adore Kirsty's original, I really like Tracey Ullman's version, but Katrina added something that shows the real potential of the song. Which - in a way - is an hommage to Kirsty MacColl. And that's why I bring up a toast to Kirsty MacColl, who would have gone very far, if destiny had allowed her to.
