This is probably the best version of "These Days" because it's the only one with the cool keyboard effects. Bernard had to play the guitar live, but Ian wasn't talented enough to play this song on keyboards. The band had two keyboards; one was used as a standard piano and the other was used for the falling leaves sounds in The Eternal and Isolation etc. Ian actually DID play keyboard. In live versions of The Eternal, Isolation, and She's Lost Control. The Lyceum Ballroom gig is a testament.
