If I had to match the beats to the names from Pete Rock, Premo, Thes, and Large Professor...maybe even Havoc, Alchemist and Qtip w/o have ever hearing them before, I'm confident I'd pass. I agree the pioneers of that sound have their similarities but truthfully I agree with Thes in L.A. Song, Premo is the most copied and favored with up and coming underground producers.
