In 1975,Do you know ( where you're going to? ), was the 15th number 1 single for Diana Ross in the USA charts ( 17 weeks); it reached, the # 3 in CANADA,( 11 weeks) while, in 1976,reached the # 4 in HOLLAND ( 10 weeks), the # 2 in IRELAND,the # 5 UK ( 8 weeks), the # 9 in BELGIUM, the # 10 in FRANCE (1 week), the # 22 in ITALY; in BRAZIL, was # 51 in the singles' annual charts, of 1976.

In 1976, Do you know ( where you're going to? ) earned an Oscar Nomination in the Best Original Score and Song categories. As Diana Ross was midway through a European tour when the Awards ceremony was televised, she was seen singing the song ( for the first time ever in the World ), via satellite link from Amsterdam ( Holland ).

Do you know ( where you're going to? ), was the title track for Diana Ross second film titled " Mahogany", with the byline " Success is nothing without someone you love to share it with " . Always in 1976, in France Diana was awared the country's equivalent of the Oscar, " The Cesar ", by the French Academy of Cinema Arts and Technique, which cited her for " continuing excellence, contribution and impact on the motion picture screen ". In the movie played Anthony Perkins and Billy Dee Williams.

In 1998, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez did a remake of this song.

In 1970, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" was her 13 th NUMBER 1 in the USA singles charts. The single sold, in USA only, 1.245.000 copies becoming GOLD RECORD and, Diana Ross, received a GRAMMY NOMINATION for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. It was also # 1 in CANADA, # 6 in UK,

# 14 in IRELAND and # 31 in AUSTRALIA.

This video, is taken from the show"An Evening with Diana Ross " was sold out at every stop it made around the USA. In 1976 a two week stay on Broadway at The Palace broke 63 year old attendance records; the show made over $ 427.000 ( a record at time ! ).

In 1977, was released a double live album entitled " An evening with Diana Ross " ,from the 1976 show. Always in 1977, the stage show was turned into an unprecedented 90 minutes one-woman show TV special on " NBC Big Event " that made earn her several EMMY nominations .

More, in 1977, Diana Ross won a special TONY Award for the sensational production !

At last, in 1978, Diana Ross brought the show around the World !

I remember first seeing this show in London in1976 where I gave Diana Ross two little teddy bears for chudney her new baby. She wore them on her fingers whilst she sang do you know/ain't no mountain... I was lucky enough to see this show a few times in London and it holds very special memories for me... As I am sure for many others....
