Just heard this on Little Steven's Underground Garage. Love love love it. Bought it. Is it me or does this sound a lot like Jefferson Airplane? Or Starship? I guess I should do a little research. Thanx Steven :)

One of the favorite bands of my youth. And this was my favorite song, spent many nights listening to this. Ah, memories.....

Well written. Their cover of Statesboro Blues is one of the best as well. Never gets the credit it deserves. This song is IMO the gem of the album.

I like the stark JCY version better. This is interesting, but doesn't get under my skin.

What's up with the B&W pix of Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, Chris Hillman & Company?

@tsg7950 I did read this. Sometime after Billrabatin's reply, I actually found a copy of "Soul of a City Boy" on vinyl at a used record store in NYC. I also think it's Jesse's best work
