I am listening to your song as I write to request if I may use your song in my thesis. I have two and a half years sober and am in graduate school. (This alone is a miracle) This song touches me deeply and I am writing about spirituality in the treatment of addiction. I hope you receive this. Thank you for considering my request.

Hi. I've been listening to the song since I first start my recovery. I celebrate 6 mo tomarrow. I'm free like the song. I'm a miricle. 44 yrs of use and darkness. Now I finally see her The woman I meant to be. I have a certain balance now my clean and life. It's not easy everyday but I embrace it one day at a time, keep it simple and move forward. This IS my song, my life. Thank you. I know every word God bless you. Peace

White brain. I've shared this with all my family hoping it helps them too understand addiction is not a choice it's a disease I believe. Someday I'll see the woman I meant to be.

Jessica, I understand. We are much harder on ourselves than anyone else could be. You're walking the path now as a clean and sober woman and you have a lot to be proud of. And now you are setting an example for others who have less clean time than you - showing them that recovery is possible. Keep your head held high and keep shining your light! Love, -Gracie

I wanted to tell you this song is so beautiful...I have over a year in recovery from heroin and I have always been hard on myself...I know that I was always better than what the drugs did to me and I this song gives me back that fight of being the person I am destined to be not matter the hurdles of making my amends and having to look at the things I have done in my past to make me untrustworthy..thank you for this beautiful song!

Hi Jonas, I'm so grateful for your response. The job of any writer is to hold up a mirror. If I can see myself in that mirror, then hopefully others will see themselves as well. I never know how my writing will affect someone unless they drop me a note. From my heart - - thank you! -Gracie
