You can tell that the bass was indeed taken from Leeds (very skillfully, btw), because if you listen closely you can hear Roger's vocals from Leeds bleeding through on the bass side from time to time.

I personally like the Leeds version better because they played two concerts that were featured on Live at Leeds, which were Leeds College and Hull, England.

Live at Leeds was stoved and fixed in my brain and in my auditory canals. The Hull sessions are different and isn't so accentuated but has the same raw power and maybe a qiet better sound. But whatever, this version make my experience of 'listening to music' richer.

@flushtones Only in the first four tracks. The rest (from 'Young Man Blues' and on) it's the bass is the real deal.

They liked this recording better than Leeds but the bass was not recorded. Who the hell knows how that happened but it did. The Leeds recording had clicks all over it from the bass cord, I believe. That is why it was originally released condensed. After technology caught up, they were able to get the clicks out of the tracks on the Leeds show and released more tracks. The Hull show was later released with bass lines from the Leeds show. That also sounds odd but that is what I read.
