1:23 you can hear the seeds of Pinball Wizard in this song. Not just in that riff, but all throughout "Sunrise". It's obvious that "Sunrise" basically morphed into "Pinball Wizard" 2 years later. One can actually hear a few tracks on "Sell Out" that evolved and resurfaced 2 years later on Tommy. For example, "Rael 1" on "Sell Out" became "Sparks" on "Tommy." Listen to the last section of "Rael 1" and you will immediately hear it. (Note that there are two versions of "Rael." "Rael 2" bears no resemblance to "Rael 1," and is more of an outtake than an actual song.)

Classic Whos song! One of the best Who songs and one of the best on Sell Out.

This song hits me for some reason. Beautiful, ethereal, atmospheric tune. There is so much longing in Townshend's voice and lyrics, I can totally relate to this song, sounds like many of my teenage nights I spent having false hope.
