@NoWayzSafe This song was indeed produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface. The Whispers were hoping that "Innocent" would repeat the pop success as "Rock Steady" did three years earlier. The song DID crossover and peak in the Top 60 on the Pop Charts though, and I believe if MTV had played this video much more in 1990, it woulda at LEAST been a Top 20 Pop hit. Nevertheless, it was still a big R&B hit and a New Jack Swing classic!
