I love hearing this song from the Whispers...a smooth love song to God. Since Jesus is the bridegroom & we (the church) are His bride...it works all the way around.

This sounds like it should have been a romantic song, a song sung to a woman, which are the kind of songs they are very good at. Most of the songs on this album sound the same way. So therefore, they should have kept at delivering what they are well-loved and well-known for, that is, smooth love songs, not religious tunes.
