I watch the sun go down, I watch the sun go down

Then I wander around, then I wander around

It's here then it's gone

Love doesn't last too long

I didn't even have time to get it straight in my mind

To catch up from behind, to see that I was blind

And I wish I was wrong

But love doesn't last too long

All you lovers in the dark can forget what I said

'Cause it still goes on in my heart

And it still goes on in my head

Rivers to the sea, rivers to the sea

How it is right now is how it's always gonna be

It's here then it's gone

Love doesn't last too long

I watch the sun go down, I watch the sun go down

Then I wander around

Then I wander around

Then I wander around

This song would be perfect for "The Elite" if a movie comes out but, sadly, we have no news about that yet. Screw you film-makers. Lmao

When he says "Rivers to the sea, rivers to the sea" it sounds like an older song (Maybe 80's) But i can't think of it

To add something to my earlier post. I was once one of those same women. I came within seconds of doing something that would have put me right there with them, so I understand all too well what they went through. Only my baby standing up in her crib stopped this "action". No matter how much I hated him (& still do) for what he put me through, I could NOT do it in front of my child & thank God for it. He ain't worth the effort & I have an amazing husband now, so thank God for her waking up.

I heard this song on the doc "Sin in Silence". It's about Convicted Women Against Abuse formed in 1989 by the women at CIW-Corona for murdering their abusive spouses. Many of these women had been horribly abused for more than 20 yrs. They were convicted in the 80's & early 90's before Battered Woman Syndrome was recognized as a defense. These brave women created this group to teach awareness of domestic abuse & to share stories that they've kept secret for years. Everyone needs to see this.
