I don't understand how The Weeknd recreated the song in his image off of this apparent Portishead beat (which I've never even heard of, by the way) but still it's considered a rip off. It's in HIS image. Not Portishead's. Now if Portiahead had similar lyrics and sang it similarly, I could see where there would be potential for misunderstanding and misinterpretation. But there isn't. I guess that's something that only "geniuses" think. Let's be honest guys, they're never going to admit they're wrong. Ignorance is bliss.
