Half the people commenting seem to care. Not sure why it's a big deal. Most of the songs on this cd were never released at the time, it's just an old song they never did anything with, maybe because they realized it sounded like another song. But yeah, who knows, who cares, I'm just glad we get to hear all this stuff.

All the bands stole from all the other bands, not always intentionally. Many, if not most, weren't the greatest musicians in the world when they first started playing, and absorbed what they heard from their peers. There are a zillion punk songs that are basically just rewrites of the Stooges, or the MC5, or the Ramones. It just happened, but most of 'em had more than enough other originals to set them apart from the others, Viletones included.
