Listen to the decending bass in the chorus ("I guess it's alright, do your thing"), it's pretty much the same as in Columbo, just with a different rhythm. Also Nick's guitar loop is very similar in both songs.

I'm not hereing Columbo in this. This has a hoppin base line. Columbo is a descending bass line in 3/4 time. However I could be wrong.

definitely should have been on the Forth album. Better than half the songs on that album.

This was one from the vaults they brough to life for Forth iirc. I think they wrote it around 1994 for a ANS but it was unused. I wish the had brough a few more out of the vault for Forth, like Black and Blue and Break Lights (Change My Life).
