Well just surfin' for old Lou Reed gems I haven't heard in a long time, and well this one always makes me smile from ear to ear. I know this one was truly a velvets thing (yeah hit those skins Moe). Wasn't all sad was it Lou?

I always figured this was recorded during or near the white light/white heat session--it has that same overdriven bass, leaking voltage distortion all over the tape, and the twangy thin guitar licks that refuse to surrender to the bass and drums.

@octagon79 I'm pretty sure the instrumental was recorded first, the vocal arrangement just naturally flowed out later.

This is one of my all-time favorite VU tracks. I remember before I heard the vocal version I used to sing the title to myself, then when I finally heard the vocals they were pretty much the same arrangement as I had guessed them to be!
