Bluegrass...the heavy metal of folk music:1. Ensemble approach, & each player is expected to be able to really play their instruments2. Shredding solos3. Banjos are, literally, made of heavy metal4. Epic scope5. Longevity. Bands are more likely to be healthy and play good music into their older years, unlike their respective cousins (country, rock) that burn themselves out on drugs and partying.
