Yeah i'd say either this or their cover of "Louie Louie".

Hard to decide if this is the most "punk" tune by the Troggs or if it's the hard-driving incredibly punkish "66-5-4-3-2-1". These guys haven't received enough credit for the impact they had on rock in the decades that followed their heyday. They were ahead of their time.

From Home was my favorite Troggs song. In 1985 we had an oldies jukebox in this bar/cafe with Wild Thing in it. From Home was the B-side. On a full capacity college crowd night I played From Home and one young hipster near me said to his friends: "Hey, thats supposed to be an oldies juke!!" He went to who it was. I loved the look on his face when he came back. 8-)Wonder if Iggy and The Stooges liked this song?THE TROGGS - FROM HOME - 1966

Loving this song so much, came across it 2 hours ago and haven't stopped listening to it. A clear blueprint for The Stooges.

The guitar solo is just as nasty and aggro as the solo in "See See Rider" by the Animals. In terms of distortion it is right up there with the sounds that the Bluesbreakers with Clapton got although this solo is fuzzed out and not as smooth as the Bluesbreakers. It does sound more in the realm of the fuzzed out sound that Hendrix was soon to get. Remember, this is 1966 and Jimi was soon to arrive in England and funnily enough even cover "Wild Thing" in concerts and club gigs.

I love this band and the song, but he's singing like Peter Lorre.

Straight from the caves of Andover..... Better than "Wild Thing"?......maybe,but it would'nt have made such an impact. Almost a "Lost Girl"remake......does'nt antimatter ,they're both incredible.

first time hearing it for me .... actually sounds pretty good .... it's funny how many songs you've never heard ... become a new experience of our nostalgic thirst ... because ... everybody would like to go back ... AGAIN!
