The Trammps was an American disco band, who were based in Philadelphia and were one of the first disco bands.

The band's first major success was with their 1972 cover version of "Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart". The first disco track they released was "Love Epidemic" in 1973. However, they are best known for their 1976 Grammy winning song, "Disco Inferno". The music journalist, Ron Wynn, noted "the Trammps' prowess can't be measured by chart popularity; Ellis' booming, joyous vocals brilliantly championed the celebratory fervor and atmosphere that made disco both loved and hated among music fans."

I love 70's songs, but since I born in the late 80's I don't live that time, don't know exactly how things were...I always thought Disco Inferno was from Beegees, so I picture 3 guys singing. Seeing this great band and that happy guy singing is so different from waht I'd imagine

The 18 people (zombies??) who "dislike" this blast from Disco's past probably couldn't GET DOWN AND BOOGIE of their life depended on it. Kee on tokin' and jokin' while us good time people are still on the dance floor SMOKIN' like a bunch of happy people who really know how to LOSE OURSELVES TO DANCE NOW! Niles Rogers and DAFT PUNK got it RIGHT people! Peole STILL gettin' down, and that Disco flame is still 100 stories high! Believe it and DANCE baby!
