Hockey is a stupid thing to be excited about. Music is not lol . Well hold on, i'm drunk right now, if the Leafs went on a mad run again... no, my heart has been hurt too many times

"We all squeezed the stick and we all pulled the trigger" A line that would baffle most, unless you're from Canada.

Probably Gord's best poem, embedded in a one of their best songs:"Fireworks exploding in the distanceTemporary towers soarFireworks emulating heavenTill there are no stars any moreFireworks aiming straight at heavenTemporary towers soarTill there are no stars shining up in heavenTill there are no stars any more"

We lost Gordie last night. Every Toronto station is playing The Hip today. I've tried to listen to Wheat Kings but find myself in tears as soon as I hear the loon in the intro. Hoping Fireworks will be easier on my heart. Thank you Gord for singing about us.....You are truly Canada's poet & national treasure.
