If that was your reaction you really haven't "studied" the lyrics. The song is obviously a critique against using cocaine to make soldiers feel invincible.

i was rehearsing an acoustic versión of this for my colombian family meeting to honour our swedish ancestry. after studying the lyrics it was sad to realize the cocaine euphemism. while thinking how many people in my family had died because cocaine money from the u.s and europe has ended up in the hands of criminal gangs. im sure many swedes dont know that by doing cocaine they have killed a few people of their own who live in some other land.

Well a name is a name. If I am not mistaken you write names the same way, without translating unless you are in need to do so, for an example would be Japanese or like russian. But in the sense of the very meaning of Coca and cola (Coca cola) it would be Koka kola. But we say Coca-Cola cause that is the name. Or something...

Actually no, we spell it Coca-Cola. Although we spell cocaine "kokain", so it could also be to make the parallel to drugs (the liberal market-economy and the way we are dependent on it as well as addicted to the point where we don't care what happens, we "just wanna have some fun before we leave") more apparent.

On London Calling, the song is stylized the same way. AND, on "Take No Heroes", Eric shouts out The Clash! :)

OR, Koka Kola is how you actually spell Coca Cola in Swedish.

The Clash have a song that spells Koka-Kola in the same way. TTA clearly were influenced by it.
