@dirtyedna I should add she earned a degree in psychology and became a counselor. She also worked as a vocal coach. And, she never really stopped singing. She became a member of the Intermezzo Choir.

Thanks Acatinny but the sound here on "Gee Baby" are indeed the ladies. This cut was included on "Standing Up" LP. All other cuts from those sessions have session singers doing soprano.They were acknowledged on the liner notes. The powerhouse soprano on "Gee" is absolutely Fayette. Los NYC

They redid this song for "Toast of Love" album released only in Japan, and this is that version. I guess the one on "Standing up for love" was with Helen's monologue replaced Fay's and got some additional recordings. Other parts and Sheila's and Val's vocals sound same to me. I do not think "Toast of Love" album contains any female Black session singers as you do not find them in Tokyo where they recorded it. I think they recorded harmony parts mutiple times and Val did the soprano too maybe.
