My goodness. I remember approaching the Coliseum years ago this song was buzzing in my head. Of course, it was fiction, but it spoke to the grandeur of Rome on many levels to me.

They sang very well, but they killed the Italian language.

Pavarotti was great! would have loved to hear him sing with David Phelps. i love mens voices in harmony, but you do have your favorites for certain songs. David Phelps owns O Holy Night as no other. but that's just my opinion and likes. never heard Pavarotti do this song. will have to look it up!

There are two good tenors, the rest is filler. It's what I think.

As much as I like Bocelli and the colour of his voice, he lacks quite a bit in the technique department. You may say Pavarotti was past his prime when he recorded Il Gladiatore, but to me, it's the best version out there.

Good, but not enough power at the end for me

I see some Queensland Conservatorium boys. VERY PROUD. Singing beautifully and naturally, not like American screechers (with few exceptions like Renee, Barbara and a few others). Wish all of you the best in your cereers!!!!

that's very good ,of course pavarotti is something else , sorry to tell you guys but Pavarotti was a maestro ,remember he recorded this song when he was 68 years old in 2003, his voice was amazing till his last days of life.

Christ. This is as bad as it gets. Little talent. Massive corporate bullshit. Terrible

Best version of this ever recorded is not Pavarotti, I'm sorry to say. His voice wasn't what it was when he recorded the song. And Russell Watson is mediocre at best like these guys. The best ever version is Andrea Bocelli. He's a class act.

we can hear how good pavarotti is when his single voice outpowers 10 profesionnal and really good signers combined
