Group Dynamics is BEYOND IMPORTANT. People are always trying to diminish one member to build up another when it came to a group. In order for THE TEMPTATIONS to have been as GREAT as they were this understanding of GROUP DYNAMICS was very successful for 6 years. OTIS WILLIAMS and MELVIN FRANKLIN were the AMBASSADORS of the GROUP. If OTIS did not have the ear of BERRY GORDY the GROUP would have been relegated to C status as the SPINNERS were. Remember it took years before they got a hit record. THANK the heavens that OTIS knew his worth to the GROUP. Also OTIS voice could harmonize with a camel. If you are a TRUE TEMPTS FAN you know how to listen to the background which in a lot of cases is as good as the BODY of the song. Yes I would have kissed BERRY GORDY'S butt to keep my no hit GROUP on the label. Everyone in each group is not cut out to be a lead singer. Look at the 4 tops and their success. BLACK GROUPS fail because no one ever explained GROUP DYNAMICS to them. Accept your ROLES.
