Talk about taking a song from another artist, and making it their own and better. Poor Daniel Lanois...

Please take time to listen to this song by it's composer, Daniel Lanois. He is a genius and not afraid to give us his joy and pain. This one in particular bears his soul and it hurts me a little to hear it sung by anyone else. abcforall has several video's of Dan singing this song as well as many of his other masterpieces.

What a fantastic cover. Jeff Martin has done so many of them. Like this their version of Paint it Black is better than the original. I love how they incorporate covers into the middle of their own songs during live shows.

Wow, amazing. I was blessed enough to see them perform during the Edge's era, what a band! I found Transmission dissapointing, for it's focus on electronica, but Interzone Mantra's, and Seventh Circle (To a lesser degree) brought the band back to the Tea Party sound again. Also, check out "The Armada", it's Jeff's new band, and they sound more like the Tea Party than much of TTP's post-Edges output.

[In October 2005 The Tea Party disbanded due to creative differences, with Martin abruptly announcing he was beginning a solo career. Afterward Chatwood stated on the band's forum "that Jeff Burrows and myself are sincerely sorry for the way this was handled. As far as Jeff Burrows and myself were concerned, the band was taking an extended break]

Well they covered a lot of songs as interludes in Save Me and others Tea Party Songs. Jeff also did a cover of Heroes the last time I saw him. The ones on the P2P networks have the Joy Division Love Will Tear Us Apart cover as well as the Hallelujah and Last Goodbye, Buckley covers but not many others. There's also a cover of Hurt from The Tea Party days and a few others. Do you have the mp3s of the Capitol Demo? Have a look on this site, it has a list of bootlegs and shows...

I kinda like that song, it has energy! Would you know of their songs Little Miss Heaven or Fallen Angel? I don't know where they came from. I do have a few covers from The Tea Party. A couple of Jeff Buckley's and I think Joy Division?
