WHAT EFFECT IS THAT? At 3:45 you can hear it when he lets the chord ring out.

He is brilliant. I hope I'll see him live sometime when he's in Sweden. I just love the way he plays, but most of all the way he sings. And if he looked out in the crowd I were in and we would lock eyes for a second or so I just might get a tad weak in the knees.

Sorry, you wrote what?

You have a truss rod in the neck to counter the tension of the strings, which can be adjusted accordingly. The change in tension from the strings won't have that much effect if your guitar has a truss rod, which most do. It will affect it slightly, but I've been tuning between multiple tunings for years on different guitars and never had any neck problems. A string will break before the truss rod is distorted out of shape to damage the timber, unless you have a really cheap guitar.

K whatever dude. Please explain to me the science and physics of the tension put on the neck by the strings. Don't just give me some "if you believe in popular myths" bullshit. If you can't elaborate on your argument then just keep your mouth shut.

Science says no -- but if you're fond of popular myths, then yes, you are completely right. Also, vitamin C cures the common cold, and the Earth is only 6000 years old, plus the Sun revolves around the Earth. Wait, that last one was only popular a thousand or so years ago.

frequently detuning your guitar can be bad for the neck.

I wrote that two years ago, crazy. And yes, I am aware of that, just thought this particular video and live version was beautiful. Have a lovely day :)

There's already one live version of this song with 2 million views. Can't all have millions.

There are lots of good reasons to get another guitar. "Too lazy to change the tuning" isn't one.

I'm so glad I was there when this was recorded. The feel of that little festival really suits his music, and the beauty of this song was amplified by it being performed on a small island, in the middle of a small forest. Just awesome

How much suffering he must have harboured in order that such beautiful melodies be born within him?
