Made to celebrate the return to traffic of the 1936 built narrow boat "Barnet". this video also pays homage to the boat families whose way of life was all but drawn to a close in the mid 1960's. During the work to restore "Barnet" it was common to hear the beat of songs by "Modern Talking" and "Systems in blue" resounding from the boat, as the boat is restored to its blue livery linking it to the song "System in blue" seemed appropriate. I like Systems in Blue, Modern Talking and Blue system and most of Herr Bohlen's compositions. My absolute favorite is "Magic Symphony" in the extended form. Today there are many other artists that follow this sound type, see my favourites list!14 years ago

In the 1950's and 1960's the boats which used British canals were blue. The buildings, vehicles, cranes etc were also blue, everything was blue. It was a transport system in blue. Today people restore these items to the old blue color. We restored our boat to blue, some of us are SIB fans,14 years ago
