Artist: The Sundays

Title: On Earth

CD: Blind

Lyrics:

And she's walking on the edge of a knife

And she knows it's the death of her

Sarah you live and you learn you're invisible

And she's walking on the edge of a crowd

Late at night you can never tell

Town from town

Sounds of England swallow you down

Makes you want to laugh

Could a heaven on Earth be ours here & now?

And she says what's in my palm?

Read between the lines

Give me something to savour

Can you do that? 'cause I'll believe anything

And I say

When you're hoping for some more from your life

Shouldn't wonder you've had enough

And in my town

Sounds of England swallow you down

And a heaven on Earth is all ours but not now

I tell you when a heaven on Earth is all ours

Come on down.

This song is indeed way too short. However I have a solution for that. I used to travel across the country for a living, and when I was in the mood for this song, I simply placed repeat on the song and could often lose myself in it and the countryside for well over an hour till I came back down to Earth. The song's name is totally appropriate.

WOW!!! Memories. Definitely a huge influence on me along with the Cocteau Twins and what i spend hours and hours looking for in the EDM i play today. Song takes me back to when life was simple.

the sundays music is so beautifully ethereal, so original and innovative. don't think they nearly as popular as they should have been.

THIS SONG IS SERIOUSLY WAYYYY TOO SHORT. that's what i think when it ends.. i wish it would be at least a minute longer. such a sublime song.

I remember when I used to listen to this cd over and over again on my way from Watertown NY to UMaine to attend graduate school. Purely cathartic....man, I miss those drives!

Definitely one of Harriet's best songs. I hate myself for not making a better effort to see them during their last tour.

I imagine this song playing in the after life. Only the title is changed to "In Heaven"! Wonderful, beautiful song, I so miss the Sundays

one of my most memorable Sundays song. 3 albums and they have gone into hiding. Pity but I do appreciate what they have given us. Simply brilliant and intelligent music
