Well definitely she was the best female singers in UK at that stage and probably forever. I would like to compare her voice to Liz Fraser, but comes little bit more sweeter and warmer, anyway, best wishes to her, anyone can surely choose his/her own way of life.

I loved the Sundays back in the day (and still do). I used to practice my drums whilst listening to 'Where the story ends' on my earphones. Harriet has a unique, beautiful and beguiling voice that sounds better than today's conveyor belt of bland karaoke 'x-factor' divas. Music seemed much better back then when bands and singers had to actually have talent and work hard before they made it and it stood them in good stead.

Interesting that they lyrics follow the song, in that order. It seems that most (e.g. Elton John putting Taupin's lyrics to music) start with the words. They must be in their mid-40's now.

The Sundays' music has a certain naive quality that is quite beautiful. (And, I mean naive in the very best sense of the word; open, sincere, showing the absence of artificiality...) Harriet's voice and her choice of notes in developing a melody is a potent combination. Even though it's a completely different genre, just like Nancy Wilson, the sound of her voice can make your heart ache and burst with joy all at once.
