Every time I think I've heard every subgenre and re-creation of ska, I am proven wrong. I am not even particularly a huge fan of ska outside a handful of bands (The Suicide Machines being one), but it's such a durable genre. And when it is done right, it is beyond anything any other genre of music can seem to accomplish. I really can't put my finger on why that is.
