who would mistake this for the Manics you might as well swear at them The Manics are good for a time when music is so bad they seem so good if they were around in the 70s they would not have got a look in. The Stranglers have always had their own sound I like this era of their work better then the stuff they did after Raven they were obviously cashing in on the punk era(in the late 70s) but they did it with taste and made some great music , but if punk had not come along they would have probably done more stuff like this. Some of their stuff reminds me of Golden Earing(in the 70s) if any other band at all

Yeh there"s no keyboards on this coz dave greenfield was still with Rusty butler & didnt join the stranglers til the summer of 1975 strange little girl was also originally recorded without him to..This sounds very like the Alan clarke led Hollies

The strange thing is that this a real 'pop' song but played in the stranglers tear ye' face off way... The dark and aggressive way that makes them so unique
