yeh, whereas dave & JJ went for the groupies, hugh was always - like dagenham dave - into the drugs. it's all down to taste really. i believe hugh was sent down for possession of several drugs, hence, the jail term. possession is not usually a jailable offence unless there's a lot or a variety.

golden brown is NOT about heroin. it is not about ANY drug at all. i heard an interview with the band & they laughed at the idea that the song was about heroin. it is coincidental that it's called 'golden brown'. 'don't bring harry', i'm certain, is about heroin. H is a term, as is Horse, Harry, Brown are all terms for heroin. & heroin is ur worst enemy and ur best friend. golden brown has few refs to H. Dont Bring Harry screams Heroin' abuse. H is nearly always brown now. china white is v.rare
