Well put. Granted I'm being a tool by getting tech but there are drop D chords (a plenty) in Pop Punk and TSSF is no different. Other pop punk features are I, III, V chord progressions, ditonics instead of solos for lead guitars, the singer's tone, ect. But in general, it's just beautiful handcrafted music without the need for electro polish.
