Ref: Andrew Winters getting the boot: I wonder if I would be hooked on BOC without 2 of Joe Bouchard's songs. 7 Screaming Diz-Busters and Hot Rails to Hell.

All I know is what I heard from the people involved...to this day the whole story of my leaving the band is like Rashomon, you believe what you want. I founded the band, brought my best friend from high school Donald in, and really got nothing much for the trouble, thanks all the same...I am more than tired of hearing about myself as someone who preferred to work in a bakery, or that I was a whack job or some of the other ugly things I have read or heard during all these years. This is the best song on the album, very tight and well played, without all the excesses that plague some of the other cuts. It should have been a hit single, if only Pearlman hadn't pissed off Elektra and gotten us kicked off the label...but that's another story. My then girlfriend's grandmother lived in the same building as a big DJ in NYC named Zacherie (the guy who did the Monster Mash) and he started playing it on the air and got a lot of raves about it...but then our tenure with Elektra came to an unfortunate end so that was the end of that...

Oh yeah I have you and Joe doing some of your post-BOC material too at a History Of BOC show.I'm telling ya it would be great. :)

Kinda like that both Albert and Andy posted on here despite some of the bad vibes-that's water under the bridge now I guess I wish both of you well-rock n roll you know shit happens. The SWU and SFG were great bands even before BOC-the music is incredible wish I could hear more SWU since Rational Passional sounded so good. And Joe developed into a terrific bass player IMO andadded tremendously to the music.Albert-it was great seeing you again at the anniversary show-you were kicking ass and I was having BOC heyday flashbacks. You and Joe have continued to write and make some great music-I could see another reunion type show as a HIstory Of BOC that would be great(it's in my head-would be a show for the ages IMO).

Eh don't let it get to you Galileo. Just go check out SecretHairTonic's Taste-Void channel for an idea of the kind of sub-Curve goth tripe that isn't "pussy", & consider it a compliment coming from such a source.

I simply can't get enough of this band.. oops was I born about 20 years too late? I dreamt of UFO's when I was 2 to 3 yrs old and this music is a part of my Unconsciousness - I was born in 1972 - am I too late? What sin must have I committed in some former life? Ugh!

A friend of mine pointed out how much this track sounds like The James Gang song There I Go Again. Does anyone know whether this similarity was due to homage, plagarism or just plain zeitgeist?

I thought I was never going to get to hear any of the old pre-BOC tracks but I'm so glad I found this! It's a great song.

@altbouch Albert, thanks for the info on Eric's vocals. Very cool to see you responding to the vid, man! I loved you guys, used to see you in Spokane back in the 70's. Do you recall the Norwester 76 festival out at State Line Idaho, when all hell broke loose? Tried to find you guys at the hotel in Coeur d alene, but turns out you stayed in the Spokane valley. Thanks for all the great tunes!!!

@Inviernos48 Yes, peace Andy, but don't ever repeat the lie that I wanted Joe in the band and that's why you were out. It's just not true. OK. I love my brother but he just did it as a favor because we needed a bass player. He doesn't even really play bass! He would have rather played piano, which he is still great at incidentally. Roter knew! I've always been fond of you, Andrew, and I think you were an awesome bass player. But we were maturing at different rates and we needed to do something.

@deadflo That is the sound of Eric Bloom discovering his own original voice. Cool, isn't it?

@Wilfslad Yes but not "The Cows" just "Cow" ;-)

@corelliantrader007 Sorry for for the tardy reply. Umm… Each album that I do seems to be more fun than the last so the Blue Coupe album, Tornado on the Tracks, is my most fun album. The most difficult album was Mirrors mainly because I didn't agree with the producer's, Tom Werman, approach to the recording process. I love the night was inspired by Ann Rice's "Interview With a Vampire."

didn't the name The Cows also feature at some point? I read a great article in a Zig Zag maybe 30 years ago, wish I still had it now!
